Double Wear convert....

(My shade - Toasty Toffee)

When i first started buying proper foundation (and by proper, i mean not drugstore), my mum took me to Bobbi Brown and after wearing it for a few months, i noticed it wasn't really a good enough coverage for me (suffering with acne and hyper-pigmentation) and the powder they had matched me with was far too orange and so it put me off going back. It was then, that my auntie recommended i use MAC as she did (and her makeup always looks flawless), so with that, i ventured into the world of MAC and haven't looked back, their products are such great quality and i could find the perfect colour of foundation in both liquid and powder form and i had great coverage. What more could i have wanted? I'll tell you what... i wanted a product that as well as matching perfectly and giving great coverage, would last without me having to touch up through the day and that would keep my oily spots to down to a minimum. And guess what, i found it, in the form of Estée Lauder' Double Wear foundation. I've heard so many people rave about it and i must be the last women on earth to try it, but now i have. I felt like i just couldn't justify £27 when i was content with my MAC foundations and i might not get along with the Double Wear and up until recently i didn't realize they did shades dark enough for me, but on Monday, my mum kindly bought it for me and i'm so grateful she did. It is now day 3 of wearing it and i'm in love with it, it applies easy, the finish is lovely, the colour is great, it really DOES last all day and i rarely have to blot through the day because it keeps oiliness on a lock down. I will definitely be sticking with this product and if you're on the fence about trying it, i suggest you do too.

  1. I went to the Bobbi Brown counter and got a sample about a month ago because I also felt like I was the last person to try this foundation! I loved it as well, unfortunately for me though, they don't make a shade light enough! I think it really would've been my holy grail because the coverage and finish were beautiful!

  4. I definitely want to try this as it looks so matte in your skin. I have heard mixed reviews about it though so am a bit reluctant. X
